Rainbow Crosswalk Painting: Part 1
Help Dutchess Pride paint the town rainbow! We will be painting two highly visible and central crosswalks; one in the City of Poughkeepsie and one in the Town of Poughkeepsie. Join us as we start with the crosswalk just outside the front doors of the center.
No cost | RSVP ASAP! | Family-friendly
We’re supplying the paint and the refreshments, just bring yourself in your best painting attire.

Kick off Pride season on the stunning Walkway Over the Hudson as we light up the night sky in rainbow

Each year, thousands of you kick off Pride season with us on the Walkway. Here’s what’s planned for 2026:
Queer Families Festival
Poughkeepsie (East) Landing Park • 3p – 6p
BGHV is partnering with the Dutchess County Pride Center to host an epic all-ages festival packed with arts, crafts, music, food, and drinks – all perfect for the young (and young at heart).
Drag Story Hour with Katarina Mirage • 4p – 5p
Don’t miss the local storytelling legend as she pops up outside the East Pavilion office.
Queer Families Meetup • 5p – 6p
Drop by the ice cream truck and City Winery pop-up bar and connect with local queer families
Pride Community Festival
Highland (West) Landing Park • 3p – 6p
Connect with local organizers and plan out your 2026 Pride Along the Hudson season.

Poughkeepsie (East) Landing Park • 6:45p
Be part of a signature Pride in the Sky experience as hundreds of volunteers parade gigantic rainbow and trans Pride flags across the Walkway.
Dancing + Drag Under the Stars
Walkway Middle + Highland (West) Landing Park • 7p – 10p
As the sun sets + the glow sticks come out, the food trucks and pop-up bars on the Highland side will keep the party going.

Hudson Valley Renegades Pride Night
Pride Baseball Night with the Hudson Valley Renegades
Dutchess Pride is taking over the Hudson Valley Renegades stadium for an evening of sports Pride! Swing on over to Heritage Financial Park to catch the Hudson Valley Renegades — the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees — as they battle their rivals in the South Atlantic League in 2026!
The Renegades play 66 home games at Heritage Financial Park from April through September, and each one features its own unique promotional theme.

Bio Blitz and Eco Hike
Dutchess County Pride Center and the Dutchess Land Conservancy are proud to bring back the Bio Blitz and Eco Hike for its second year!
Please join us for a Bio Blitz, a community-science effort to record as many plant and animal species within a designated location and time period. No experience is necessary. DLC staff will help, along with the Seek application and guidebooks, identify species and record them using iNaturalist. The Bontecou Preserve is newly managed land by the Dutchess Land Conservancy and our work can inform our management and conservation for years to come.
DIRECTIONS: From the Taconic Parkway, take Exit 54 to Route 44 East. Take a left at the State Trooper HQ and travel north on Route 82 for about 3½ miles. Turn right onto the Shunpike (County Route 57) and after about 4¾ miles turn left onto Ludlow Road/Shuman Road. Travel north about 1 mile, past the lake, and the preserve entrance is on the right.

2024 Poughkeepsie Pride Parade & Festival
We’re happy to bring Poughkeepsie Pride back for its 6th year! The parade line-up starts at 11:00am on Market Street in the City of Poughkeepsie between the Eastbound Arterial and Main Street. Step-off is at Noon, and follows Main Street down to John M. Flowers Circle at Victor C. Waryas Park, where the Pride Festival will be in full swing! The festival will feature dozens of local restaurants, creatives, entrepreneurs, companies, and more!
Pride Crosswalk Painting
Come on down to the intersection of Main Street and N/S Bridge Streets in Poughkeepsie to help us Paint Poughkeepsie Pride! Our annual crosswalk painting gets the street festive and ready for the Poughkeepsie Pride Parade happening the next Saturday.
Still unsure where to go? Just pop in Zeus Brewing Company to your GPS, we’ll be right at the corner there. As a bonus, Zeus Brewing Co. will be partnering with Dutchess Pride for a special surprise later on this year, so keep an eye out!
